Bizou International Inc. ("Mia") is committed to protecting your personal information online. Please read the following policy in order to understand how your personal information will be handled when you shop on our Web site. Bizou created this statement to demonstrate its commitment to confidentiality and security. The information that follows has to do with the collection of information and the broadcasting practices on our Web site.

Collection of Information

Mia does not collect information that can easily be traceable to an individual or a legal entity, unless the information is provided voluntarily. For example, this information can be gathered from a registration form or an application form. During the collection of information, the user can indicate whether or not they wish to receive promotional or commercial information concerning Mia's products, services and offers. Furthermore, regardless of the user's refusal regarding the receipt of personal information, Mia reserves the right to communicate with a user concerning the account's status, changes to the agreement signed by the user and other subjects related to the service and/or the information gathered.

Special Offers

We send a welcome email to our new subscribers in order to verify their password. Our subscribers sometimes receive information regarding our products and services, as well as notices, electronic newsletters and a flyer. We offer our users the possibility to opt out of these communications.

Cookies

A cookie is an information element on the hard drive of your computer that contains information about you. The use of a cookie does not allow anyone to access your personal information while you navigate on our Web site. This privacy statement relates only to Mia and to the information Mia gathers. 

Flyers

When a user asks to subscribe to a flyer or a similar online service, we ask them to provide us information allowing us to communicate with them, such as their name and email address.

It is possible that from time to time, our Web site offers surveys or contests that ask users to provide certain information. Participation to these surveys and contests is completely optional. The user is free to provide or not this information, which can include contact information (name and address) or demographic data (postal code or fields of interest).

Transaction Security

If you choose a direct payment gateway to complete your purchase, then Shopify stores your credit card data. It is encrypted through the Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI-DSS). Your purchase transaction data is stored only as long as is necessary to complete your purchase transaction. After that is complete, your purchase transaction information is deleted.
All direct payment gateways adhere to the standards set by PCI-DSS as managed by the PCI Security Standards Council, which is a joint effort of brands like Visa, MasterCard and American Express.
PCI-DSS requirements help ensure the secure handling of credit card information by our store and its service providers.

The banking information that you provide, which is crypted on your own computer, will never be transmitted in the clear on the Internet. No credit card number is stored on our Web site or in our data banks.

We apply many measures in order to protect the information we store regarding our users. We control the access to this information that is kept in our offices. Only the employees that need this information for specific tasks (for example, to send a package) are authorized to look up this information. All employees are made aware of updates to the confidentiality and security practices. Every time a new policy is added, we inform our employees of this, and we remind them of the importance that we attach to confidentiality as well of the measures to take in order to protect our customers' information.

Changes/Updates to Personal Information
